Carolinas Communication Association Conference

September 24 and 25, 2004

Clemson, SC

 
In 2004 we were in Clemson, SC, on Sept. 24 and 25, with our 1st Vice President, Steve Madden (Clemson).  Teresa Holder (Peace College) was our President,  Carol Leeman (UNCC) was our 2nd Vice President, with Robert Westerfelhaus (CofC) was the Annual Editor, Lynn Cherry (CofC) was secretary, John Edwards (FTCC) was treasurer, and Elena Martinez-Vidal (MTC) was web manager.
 
2004 theme: "The theme focuses on the science of communicating, whether it is electronic, visual, verbal, or face-to-face, and the diversity represented of the scholarship therein" (Steven James Madden)

We stayed at the Madren Conference Center in Clemson.
Our key speaker was Dr.  L. Keith Williamson.
Celeste LaCroix was voted in as 2005 2nd Vice President.
  Amy Smith from UNC - Greensboro won the Mary E. Jarrard prize for her Graduate paper.
  Casey Goff from Appalachian State University won the Mary E. Jarrard prize for her Undergraduate paper.
  Robert Westerfelhaus (CofC) won the Ray Camp award for his paper.
  Jody Natalle (UNC-G) won the Betty Jo Welch award.
