Carolinas Communication Association Conference

October 3 and 4, 2003

Raleigh, NC

 
In 2003 we were in Raleigh, NC, on October 3- 4, with our 1st Vice President, Teresa Holder (Peace College).  Jodi Natalle (UNC-G) was our President, Steve Madden (Clemson) was our 2nd Vice President, with Richard Olsen (UNC-W) was the Annual Editor, Lynn Cherry (CofC) was secretary, John Edwards (FTCC) was treasurer, and Elena Martinez-Vidal (MTC) was web manager.
 
The theme in 2003 was "Practicing Communication Excellence".

We stayed at the Sheraton Capital Center Hotel, Raleigh.
Our key speaker was Craig E. Nelson who spoke on "Fostering Critical Thinking."
Celeste LaCroix (CofC) was voted in as 2004 2nd Vice President.
Robert Westerfelhaus (CofC) was voted in as 2004 Annual Editor.
  Jason Black from the University of Maryland won the Mary E. Jarrard prize for his Graduate paper.
  Lauren Winslow from UNC-Greensboro won the Mary E. Jarrard prize for her Undergraduate paper.
  Jean DeHart from Appalachian State won the Ray Camp award for her paper.
  David McLennan from Peace College won the Betty Jo Welch award.
 

Sadly all the pictures and other archived material were lost when the web went down in the Spring 2006.
